This Phyllostachys variety grows very similar to the Phyllostachys Bissettii which is a very robust bamboo here in the NE Scotland . The plant has delicate & decorative dark green leaves which will generally survive the Winter period with little, or no, damage occuring at all.
Rivalis can be used as an excellent hedging plant and likes either full sun or half shade.
